Our goal is to provide your child with useful and meaningful Spanish language experiences in an anxiety-free, fun-filled environment where he/she will quickly begin to use functional Spanish to express him/herself.
SiW offers programs all year-round. Our school year is made up of 2 semesters, Fall (semester1,Sept-Jan) & Spring (semester2,Feb-Jun); we follow a standard school year calendar very closely, but not always exactly, you can view our school year calendar for details. Our Summer session and Summer Camp run 6 weeks from July to August. Classes range from once or twice per week for 45 minutes up to 4 days per week for 3 to 5½ hours, depending on the program. New students can join in at any time during a semester on an open enrollment basis.Class activities are age appropriate and designed specifically for each age group and developmental level. Students experience the complete structure and sound of the Spanish language while they enjoy participating in arts & crafts, music & movement, drama, story telling, interactive games, and snack-tivities; since classes are conducted solely in Spanish without translation, the children learn far more than just key vocabulary.
And because all of our programs' activities are designed to be fun and engaging, the children participate without the full realization that everything is happening in Spanish. They simply have fun while associating what they are doing and what's happening with what they are hearing (Spanish), this is the natural language learning process -- the same way children learn their primary language.
Classes are open to children with no language proficiency or previous exposure, as well as to those whose parents want to improve their child's Spanish skills in a playful setting outside the home or usual setting.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS► In all programs students receive their own copy of the music CD containing all the songs they will be learning in class.
► SiW provides all the materials for projects.
►All teachers are native Spanish speakers with teaching experience and extensive training in the SiW teaching methodology.
►New students can join a program at any time on an open enrollment basis.
Spanish Preschool (2-4yrs) & School (4-6yrs) Program

This full school year program is designed for children whose parents really know that learning a language is easiest in early childhood and want to accelerate their children's Spanish acquisition as well as gain all the benefits of a preschool experience and nationally recognized preschool curriculum.
Each class runs 3 hours. The preschool program is offered in our Garden City, Dix Hills and South Huntington locations.
- Class age group in Garden City & South Huntington is 2 to 4 years old (child must be 24 months by Oct. 1st), in Dix Hills the group is 4 to 6 years old.
- Children attend class alone (full separation).
- Complete nationally recognized preschool curriculum (conducted in Spanish).
- Classes run 3 hours and can be attended 1 to 5 days per week; the So.Huntington location also has full daycare option, click here for more details about the SiW daycare.
- Enrollment requires a full school year commitment.
Partial Separation Program
This is a great program for the 'mommy & me' parents who want more while preparing for the future.
This 90 minute program follows our highly effective Spanish immersion approach and curriculum while it prepares children for (our) full separation programs by easing them slowly through the separation process.
Classes begin like our 'Chiquitos' program, with the parent or caregiver fully participating ("mommy & me" style). During the 90 minutes the children will begin to take on more independence as they interact more and more with the teacher and less with their parent or caregiver. Over the course of the program we move to partial separation when the children will be interacting solely with the teacher and they are perfectly comfortable with separating from their parent/caregiver. It's a stress free environment since during the process the parents/caregivers remain in the classroom or just outside, this also allows each child to progress at his/her own pace.
- Class age group 18-36 months.
- Program starts as a "mommy & me" style and slowly progresses to partial separation.
- Classes run 90 minutes, once per week (additional days can be added).
- Full school year or semester-to-semester enrollment.
Enrichment Program
This 2-hour extended program offers students an environment that allows them to absorb more and progress more rapidly with their language skills while having fun.
Like all or our programs this is a non-intimidating yet challenging and enjoyable "Spanish only" setting that follows the proven SiW immersion class and curriculum model.
Enrollment for this program is on a 'full school year' basis, September through June. Students may join in at any time during the semester and continue for the remainder of the school year.

Spanish for "Chiquitos"
The earlier the better when it comes to children learning a language. And this is a wonderful age to have fun with and enjoy your child. This program is perfect for both!
- Children from 1 to 3 years old.
- Children attend class with a parent or caregiver.
- Classes run 45 minutes, once per week (additional days can be added).
- Special reduced tuition for babies 12 to 16 months.
- Full school year or semester-to-semester enrollment.
Spanish for "Chicos"
Whether just getting started with Spanish or continuing on to the 'big kids' program, the Chicos classes are a total blast. Fun, friends and Spanish -- children of this age group are more social and really know what they like, to play! Following the proven SiW methodology, these classes are entertaining, engaging and pure fun.
- Children from 3½ to 5 years and 5½ to 8 years old.

- Full school year or semester-to-semester enrollment.
Spanish for "Super Chicos"
This is our most advanced program for older students who have a full immersion foundation. This program is not open to first-time students because there is a level of brain/neural development that takes place in full immersion environments that must already be developed by this age since it is not possible to develop it passed this age. At this stage the students are much less childlike and are capable of more structured learning. Activities in these classes are still entertaining and engaging, but a bit more challenging and structured. Students are introduce to more formal language skills such as reading, writing and grammar.
- Open to children from 8½ to 10 years old who started in one of our younger programs or who have other previous Spanish immersion exposure.
- Students attend class alone (separation class).
- Classes run 1 hour, once per week.
- Full school year or semester-to-semester enrollment.
